THE TEAM JAM CONNECTION

Dru's father and John Saucier knew each other for several years because of their mutual efforts at Akron Buchtel HS, ministering and coaching.

Eventually Dru II became an assistant coach at Akron St. Vincent - St. Mary and Dru was one of the famous four freshman that began attending there as well.

During Coach Dambrodt and Coach Joyce's tenure at St. V, John was involved in first mentoring various team members and then eventually running lunch time Bible Studies and pregame chapels.

DRU'S TESTIMONY
Growing up in a Christian home, Dru was taught about Christ at an early age.  His father,  Dru II, was very active in leading the youth group in his church, enabling young Dru the opportunity to be in church a lot.

But it wasn't until the summer after his eighth grade year, at a youth retreat, where he really made the most sincere step in his relationship with Christ.  Attending the retreat that his own father organized, with most of his friends, Dru III dedicated his life to God and completely trusted Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior.  Some of those "others" in attendance that day included friends Sian, Willie, Lee, and LeBron.
