Moos at All-Star Meet (Feb. 3, 2004)
Mark Moos wrestled in the 37th annual NWCA All-Star Classic on (Feb. 2) and lost a close 9-8 decision after riding time against Iowa's second-ranked Luke Eustice in the 125-pound match. A reversal and two-point near fall at the end of the first period gave the Wolverine a one-point advantage heading into the second frame, but takedowns in each of the second and third periods put Eustice back into the lead. Moos knotted the score with an escape late in the match, but riding time proved the difference as the Hawkeye nabbed the win. Moos was the  first freshman wrestler to represent the Maize and Blue in 27 appearances at the All-Star meet.

January 20, 2004
Moos is compiling an outstanding freshman campaign, posting a record of 16-2 overall and 6-1 in dual meets. Moos notched a perfect 5-0 record at last weekend's National Duals, earning victories against Hofstra's third-ranked Tom Noto and Penn State's 11th-ranked Adam Smith.  Mark's accomplishments at the National Duals earned him Big Ten Wrestler of the Week.

DECEMBER, 2003
Seventh ranked University of Michigan's wrestling team claimed second place (134.5 points) at the two-day Cliff Keen Invitational, Dec. 5th and 6th in Las Vegas. Sophomore/freshman Mark Moos (Lorain, Ohio/St. Edward HS), seeded seventh, took second place at 125 pounds after suffering a close 4-2 decision against top-seeded Jason Powell from Nebraska. Moos gained the initial lead by scoring a takedown in the opening frame, and after starting the second period in the top position, earned nearly two minutes in riding time. With the Wolverine wrestler starting the final period on the mat, Powell was able to score a pair of back points and ride out the period for the win.
