Twenty six men from the
Valdosta, Georgia area traveled to Orlando, Florida We will never be the same !!!! High school students are whistling or singing the songs that touched their hearts during the weekend . . .while they are walking through their high schools. Bo is a Christian
now. Mike now knows his potential for God. John knows more about what waits ahead for him as he prepares in college to become a minister.
Several college guys are on the spot now. Your colleges are waiting for you to make a stand and to bring them the answers. And Stephen has just begun to play that guitar. Tim looks like he has a day job to fall back on if Major League Baseball doesn't work out. And John went back to Ohio like a newly saved Elmer Fudd, singing "Howaywooyah" after all he saw God do. Yes, Promise Keepers is ALL THAT. Yes, Tony Evans was ALL THAT. Yes, ALL the speakers captivated us. And above all,
JESUS IS ABOVE ALL THAT. Hearts are on Fire in Hahira At the close of the baseball season for the Buffalo Bisons, Tim Drew asked John to find a men's retreat to go away together on. Tim wanted to get rejuvenated a little spiritually. What started as a little get away turned out to be a "little" outing with Tim and 25 of his closest friends! Tim was so committed to this whole trip, he sprung for all the expenses. Travel, tickets, lodging, food. Then he doubled as counselor and cruise director. The man was everywhere. You just might think he liked all these people ! John flew down to Hahira, Georgia (near Valdosta). We all drove down to Orlando, Florida. We were at the conference for two days and we are All sure that we have a relationship with God as well as His salvation. We have made the vow to be fully committed to God. We will inevitably fail in a number of different ways. But we have also vowed to get up when we fall and finish the race (Philippians 3:13-14). We are going the distance. What about you?
