Josh Bostick was an extraordinary high school athlete coming out of the Greater Pittsburgh area when he committed to attend and play football at Kent State. Though projected as a great prospect for the Kent program, he found himself overcoming injury after injury in college, robbing him of his full potential. In fact, it took a literal medical miracle for him to play his senior year, when it seemed to be an impossibility.
In spite of the adversity, Josh still maintained the opportunity to be a leader on his team and among his peers. He was a leader of Bible Studies and devotional talks, volunteered to help the TEAM JAM ministry and was voted his team's Most Inspirational Player in both 2001 and 2002. After a short professional football career, Josh has been in the healthcare service industry in both Ohio and Illinois. Married to his college sweetheart Courtney, they now have three children - Jacob, Jordan, and Cali. The talents of their children has led them to starting Flippen Flyers track club, named in honor of his father, the late Greg Flippen. Flippen, who passed away in 2012, was a NY state high school track legend who also coached his own track club. Josh is dedicated to his Lord Jesus Christ, his wife and family, and to impacting youth through his track club and the relationships that develop. Through it all, they maintain their theme Bible verse, Isaiah 40:31 ... They shall mount up on wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint. We are extremely proud to have had the privilege to watch Josh transform from a gifted athlete to a husband and father, and then ultimately a Godly leader in the Huffman Estates community.
