My Story
I grew up in a Christian home and attended church regularly. At a young age I accepted Christ but did not have an intimate relationship with Him. The life that I lived revolved around me, and the decisions I made were based on my own desires. Although I seemed happy with the way my life was going, I knew that something was missing. It was not until my sophomore year in college that my heart started to change. I saw one of my teammates, who is now a very close friend, living a life for Christ. He showed me what being a Christian was all about. So I had a choice to make. Was I going to continue to live for myself, or would I start living the life God intended for me? My favorite Scripture is Luke 9:24, which says, "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it", and that is exactly what I have tried to do. I stopped living for myself and started living for Christ. When I step on the ball field I feel that I have nothing to lose because I have already lost my life for His sake. I now have everything to gain. So I leave this with you: are you ready to step up to the plate for Christ, or does this life mean too much to you? |
