DISCIPLESHIP INFO
DISCIPLESHIP PROCESS
INTENTION
To pursue and develop our relationship with Christ so that we know and imitate Him passionately.
FOR THE DISCIPLER……..
1. Surrender your own conveniences. Evaluate all resources God has blessed you with.
2. Pray passionately for your self, your family, and those on your priority list to help.
3. Know all you can about how Jesus lived and how his claims of being God are true.
4. Practice these principles privately.
5. Model these truths and practices PUBLICLY for others to imitate -not for praise.
6. Commit to seven significant moments of interaction with each person you prioritize.
FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES OF BEING DISCIPLED
1. Surrender your will, personal agenda, and desire for reward.
2. INITIATE interaction with the one who is teaching you.
3. Become vulnerable and accountable to like-gendered mentors.
4.Develop a Spiritual routine that daily teaches you more about who Jesus is.
5. Trust God's Process and Timing. God is not limited to geography or a clock.
NON-NEGOTIABLE PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIAN LIVING
1. Secure a saving relationship with Christ through the surrendering of our lives to Him as our Savior and Lord.
2. Be baptized.
3. Read the Bible daily. Learn what Jesus looks, acts, and thinks like. Memorize key phrases.
4. Pray and confess our sins to Him daily
5. Discipline our mouths.
7. Keep sex inside of marriage. Moral purity.
8. Witness. Tell others what Christ has done for you.
9. Please God, rather than men, by serving others.
MINISTER TO EACH OTHER DURING THE SEVEN WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY
1. During success, academic, or employment achievements.
2. During failure.
3.During tragedy or health issues.
4. When getting married.
5. When becoming a parent.
7. Geographical change.
8. When someone dies.
MAKE 6 SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS IN EVERY LIFE YOU INVEST IN
These are examples of quality "efforts":
1. Personal visits where you observe them at a distance
2. Personal hand written notes during a window of opportunity
3. Visits in their environment when they welcome or invite you.
4. Recognition of achievement with a gift and/or helpful assistance w/o a return favor needed.
5 Anonymous random acts of kindness. -The recipient will see it as originating from God.
6.The impression of being available anytime, anywhere, for anything meaningful.
